Remove affected materials—not just the visible marks
Where mould affects plaster, plasterboard or other building materials, Mersey Mould offers physical removal of the affected material within an agreed scope. This is not a standalone wash, spray or surface-cleaning treatment.
We start by reviewing the affected area and the available inspection evidence. Before work begins, we explain which materials are to be removed, access requirements, working precautions and what is included. If further opening-up or investigation is needed, that is discussed rather than assumed.
A clear scope from assessment to removal
- Assess the visible problem and identify any further investigation needed.
- Agree the affected areas and materials to be removed.
- Plan suitable controls for the work and surrounding area.
- Remove the agreed affected materials and manage debris as part of the work.
- Explain remaining concerns, moisture-related checks and any separately arranged repairs or reinstatement.
Address the conditions as well as the damage
Removal does not itself repair a leak or resolve every moisture source. Further repairs and making-good are separately agreed. Concealed findings can change the scope, and recurrence cannot be ruled out if damp conditions continue.
