Mould Testing

Clearer evidence for a targeted investigation

Musty smells, recurring mould or unexplained damp can leave you unsure what to do next. Testing can add useful evidence when there is a clear investigation question to answer.

We consider the visible condition and moisture history before recommending samples. The aim is practical information—not a laboratory result without context.

How the service works

  • Discuss where the problem occurs, when it started and any water damage or previous treatment.
  • Review accessible areas and moisture observations.
  • Agree targeted air or surface sampling where appropriate.
  • Interpret laboratory findings alongside the property inspection.
  • Explain the findings and recommendations for further checks, appropriate material-removal work or moisture management.

What you gain

A considered sampling plan helps give the results a useful purpose. We explain what was sampled, where and what the findings can reasonably tell you, supporting informed decisions about follow-up work.

Sampling may also form part of agreed post-remediation checks, alongside inspection and relevant moisture findings.

Important to know

A sample represents a particular place and time. Results cannot by themselves establish the full extent of concealed growth, prove a property is mould-free or determine whether symptoms are caused by mould. Testing does not replace investigation of visible mould or damp.

Tell us about the property and the question you want answered. We can discuss the appropriate next step.
